Hi there, nice to meet you!

I am Iva (rhymes with “viva”) and I am an artist, illustrator, teacher, and the founder of Art Side of Life®, where artists find online classes, inspirational interviews, and guides to improve their skills, get art supplies, and learn to make a living as an artist.

I have always loved creating something which brightens other people’s day.

I have 15 years of experience in the toy and creative industry as an illustrator, character designer, art director, and branding specialist focusing on illustration, storytelling, concepts, and animation.
I also teach art and work with businesses on social media and visual communication.

My art inspiration comes from traveling, trips to nature, decorations on old buildings, and animals. My travel itinerary usually involves animal-related destinations, colorful buildings, and flower fields. 

Some of my most memorable animal encounters are swimming around stingrays, manatees, and coral reef diving. I might have been a fish in my previous life 🙂

I am currently based in Central Europe, where I enjoy beautiful nature and draw outside as much as possible.
